FAQ

WHY DO I NEED TO ADJUST THE DEFLECTOR UP OR DOWN?

Each shower pipe has a different water trap distance to the top of the plumbing pipe. This deflector piece is adjustable so it will sit just below the top of the plumbing pipe when installed. This is the best deflector location for Silent Drain to work properly

THE SILENT DRAIN TOP NEEDLE PIECE STICKS ABOVE MY DRAIN COVER?

Pull out Silent Drain and slide the deflector off. You will then see a ridge on the small needle part of Silent Drain. Bend and snap off the top 1.5" to shorten and re-adjust the deflector to the proper height again. Re-insert Silent Drain in the drain pipe and this should solve the problem

WHAT END IS DOWN ON SILENT DRAIN?

The larger (bobber) end goes into the pipe first and sits on the water trap in your drain. See video on our home page
